Abstract information

FINAL DEADLINE for abstract submission is Monday, March 22, 2010.

Three categories of abstracts will be accepted for the conference:

  • Case reports (poster presentations only)
  • Clinical science
  • Basic science

Clinical and Basic Science abstracts will be evaluated and accepted as either poster or oral presentation. If accepted as an oral presentation, the presenter should plan on a 7-8 minute presentation with 3-4 minutes for questions from the judges and audience. You must provide your oral presentation (in Powerpoint format) to the host prior to your scheduled presentation (email or turn in during registration). Poster presentations will consist of a three minute presentation with two minutes for questions.

Awards:

There will be separate awards for each of the categories.

The winning abstracts from each category will be published in the following issue of the Journal of Critical Care.


Submission Details:

  • Extended Abstract submission deadline is Monday, MARCH 22, 2010
  • Abstracts should not exceed 300 words
  • Submit abstracts directly to WARC2010@gmail.com
  • Subject line of email should indicate TYPE of abstract (i.e., Case Report, Clinical Science, Basic Science)
  • Submit abstracts as an email attachment in Word format (.doc or .docx) or plain text format
  • Submit any tables, graphs, or diagrams as separate attachments in JPG, TIF or PDF format

Abstracts should follow the following format:

  • Title
  • First (presenting) author (first name, last name and degree)
  • Additional authors
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Background and purpose
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion
